The Hideaway
The Hideaway transports you to the place you want to be.
Within this world, the viewer is no longer the focus, only the observer. One arrives quietly. The house glows, but it does not dominate—it listens. It is a lantern tucked into the forest, a temporary guest. The true owners are already present, moving through vines, water, shadow, and leaves as if the human presence is invisible.
This is a place to escape the noise of the ordinary or every day life. For Kate, the act of painting becomes an escape, a transportation to where wonder and the magic of nature resonates. Travelling through worlds between reality and dream.
The forest rises dense and layered, alive with colour and pattern, as if everything is breathing at once. Flowers bloom unapologetically large, animals slip through foliage with effortless grace, and water mirrors the soft yellow light of shelter without asking anything in return. Jaguars glide, birds hover, frogs cling—unfazed, uninterrupted. The viewer becomes only a witness.
Nothing here is intrusive. Nature continues its rhythms without interference. The pool reflects the house, the house reflects the forest, and the human presence dissolves somewhere between them.
